Ttuba’s Journey – A Fight for Life Against FPV

A Small Kitten, a Deadly Virus

Ttuba, a tiny kitten, was rescued from a difficult situation, but unfortunately, tests revealed that he had contracted FPV (Feline Panleukopenia Virus), a highly dangerous disease known for its devastating effects on kittens. Ttuba was immediately placed in an incubator at the veterinary clinic for constant monitoring, as his condition was critical.

Preparing for a Safe Homecoming

While Ttuba was being treated at the clinic, his sibling, Tturi, remained at home. To ensure the safety of Tturi and prevent any risk of infection, Ttuba’s owner made the decision to prepare a separate isolation room at home where Ttuba could be safely cared for after his discharge. The room was thoroughly cleaned, and all necessary precautions were taken to make sure Ttuba would have a peaceful, safe environment to recover.

A Dangerous Drop in Body Temperature

Just as Ttuba was ready to come home, a serious complication arose. Due to the effects of FPV, his body temperature dropped to a dangerously low level—33°C. In an attempt to save him, the owner used warm compresses and a blow dryer to carefully warm him back up. It was a tense moment, but thankfully, the efforts worked, and Ttuba survived the crisis.

Home Care and Emotional Struggles

Ttuba was brought home in an extremely fragile state, weighing less than 300 grams and refusing to eat. The little kitten seemed depressed, barely moving and refusing to drink or eat anything. His owner, fully aware of how critical the situation was, remained patient, warming him, offering food, and spending long hours holding Ttuba close to comfort him.

Ttuba’s recovery wasn’t just physical—it was emotional as well. The kitten, having faced so much trauma, needed time to heal mentally and emotionally. The owner’s presence and care were vital to helping him feel safe and secure again.

A Difficult Decision for Ttuba’s Care

As Ttuba’s health began to stabilize, another challenge arose. Tturi, the more active and vocal sibling, would often cry and meow at the door of the isolation room, which disturbed Ttuba’s much-needed rest. It became clear that for Ttuba to continue recovering, the situation needed to change. The owner made the difficult decision to temporarily send Tturi to a friend’s house (affectionately known as Ttusam), allowing Ttuba the peace and quiet necessary to heal without any further stress.

This decision, though hard, was made with Ttuba’s best interest in mind. It would give the fragile kitten the best chance at full recovery.

A Journey of Hope and Healing

As the days passed, Ttuba grew stronger, both physically and emotionally. His owner continued to provide all the care, attention, and comfort he needed, helping him regain his strength and trust in the world around him. With each small step forward, Ttuba’s transformation became more apparent.

The video concludes with a hopeful scene of Ttuba, now recovering, slowly growing into a healthy, vibrant kitten. His once-fragile body is now stronger, and his playful spirit is returning, a true testament to the resilience of a kitten given the chance to heal.
