🐾Reason for the amputation: While in surgery, the vet called and said that his leg had too much scar tissue and that if they tried to repair the break, there was a very high chance it would fail within the next couple of weeks and he would have to undergo a second surgery. He would have been left with chronic pain and other issues long-term. The best option for him and his quality of life was to amputate. 🐾After surgery: The vet called once he was awake and said that he was ALREADY up trying to walk and roll around his kennel. They seemed so surprised. The vet staff loved him. They kept telling us how sweet he is even though he was going through so much. He is already so close to being back to his normal self.
