In Fall River, a small stray kitten found itself in a dangerous and unusual situation.
Its head was stuck inside a glass jar, leaving it unable to move freely or see properly.
The kitten had likely been in this condition for some time, making survival on the streets extremely difficult.
A Careful Rescue Operation Was Launched
Animal rescue teams responded with caution, knowing the kitten was frightened and stressed.
Instead of rushing in, they first set up a humane trap to safely contain it.
After several careful attempts, the kitten was finally secured without injury.
Once safely inside a carrier, the rescue team could proceed with removing the glass jar.
A Delicate And Successful Recovery
After sedation and careful handling, rescuers successfully removed the jar from the kitten’s head.

Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.
The kitten was weak and frightened, but physically stable.
Relief quickly replaced tension as the rescue was completed safely.
Why It Was Named Buzz Lightyear
The volunteers decided to give the kitten a special name — Buzz Lightyear.
With the jar stuck on its head, the kitten looked like it was wearing a futuristic space helmet.
The name, inspired by the fictional character Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, quickly became a fitting and memorable identity for the little survivor.
A Safe But Temporary Recovery Stage

Although Buzz Lightyear was now safe and healthy, rescuers confirmed it was not ready for adoption yet.
The kitten still needed time to recover emotionally and physically from the stressful experience.
It would remain under observation and care until fully stable.
A Hopeful Ending For A Tiny Survivor
From a frightening situation on the streets to a safe recovery under human care, Buzz Lightyear’s story is a reminder of how fragile stray lives can be.
And how a simple act of rescue can completely change a future.
